Do you have to pay for home help in Ireland?

Via the HSE, home support services are free. Dovida is an HSE approved home care provider, as well as a private home care provider. The HSE states on its website, “if you arrange additional home supports, over and above the level funded by the HSE, you will have to pay for these.” Dovida, can provide your care whether through HSE funded hours or any additional paid for hours. It is also worth mentioning that you can claim up to 40% tax relief when you employ a caregiver.
