Dementia care brings peace of mind
Choose Dovida for personal, specialised care for people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
About dementia care
At Dovida, we offer specialised Alzheimer’s and dementia care services which help clients live their best life possible, in the place they are most familiar – their own home.
Dementia care is a specialised type of home care, designed to create the best environment possible for someone living with dementia.
All of our caregivers are personable, qualified, and trained in dementia care.
Here are some examples of how we support clients living with dementia:
• Our themed activities programmes stimulate memory, benefit cognition and are great fun.
• Our living well plans encourage healthy eating and exercise, which in turn helps sustain brain health.
• We encourage people living with dementia to stay social and stay connected.
• We offer care management support, including home safety risk assessments, support with behavioural symptoms, and communication skills and planning ahead.
Dovida’s dementia care services bring peace of mind.
How dementia care works
If you choose Dovida for your care service, you’ll receive a personally assigned, specially trained caregiver so that you see the same friendly face at your door every day.
Your caregiver will help with whatever you need to make living at home as comfortable and safe as possible.
Recognising the signs of dementia
Early detection can help people to find the right support and advice that will promote wellbeing and enhance quality of life.
Everyone experiences dementia differently, but some of the common symptoms include:
• Forgetting recently learned information
• Difficulty performing familiar tasks like paying bills or cooking meals
• Losing track of time and place
• Losing or misplacing items
• Withdrawing from social activities
• Changes in mood, personality or communication
If you notice these changes in a loved one, give us a call to see how we can help.
Why choose home care
Why staying at home where you feel comfortable, familiar, and empowered to live independently is the best option for people who need additional care.
