Keep in mind that many people living with dementia can find large crowds and noise very overwhelming, so keep your activities controlled and consistent for the best results. The importance of postivity
Staying positive is also essential for people with dementia. They may often be struggling with reduced brain functioning, and feel frustrated, but it’s very important not to let a person with dementia feel like a failure.
What does the Alzheimer Society of Ireland Say?
The Alzheimer Society of Ireland states that, “By making adjustments and taking a positive approach, even a few minutes of activity can make a difference to someone living with dementia. You may be surprised to see how much someone with dementia is able to do with a little encouragement, a few adaptations and a good dose of creativity.”
