What do I need to become a Caregiver with Dovida?
Experience, skills and attributes
• Treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect.
• Adapt to various living environments and locations.
• Communicate with clients and family members in a friendly and congenial manner.
• Maintain confidentially regarding client information.
• Be consistently highly motivated and enthusiastic.
• Be physically fit to carry out demands of the role. Ability to perform manual tasks.
• Excellent time-keeping and attendance.
Desirable experience, skills and qualifications
• QQI qualification in care or working towards it.
• Full driving licence with access to a vehicle.
• Previous experience as a caregiver / health care assistant.

How will the local office support you in your job as a Dovida Caregiver?
Your local office will provide full induction training before you start work.
They will match you with a client who shares your interests and values – so you can develop a great relationship.
The scheduling team will work with you to assign the hours that you want to do – whether it’s full-time work, or part-time at evenings and weekends, they will ensure that you have the opportunity to work when you want to work.
You will work closely with Care Managers, who ensure that you understand the care your client needs, and that you have the right skills to deliver it.
You have access to 24-hour support from the local office in case of emergency.
As you grow and develop your career with Dovida, you may have the opportunity to train in the provision of specialised services, become a Caregiver Lead, a Care Manager, or work in other office functions.
