Linda Brennan | Dovida Care Manager
Linda Brennan is a Care Manager in our Swords office. Dovida Swords supports those who need it in Dublin 9, 17 and North County Dublin. With 14 years’ experience in care, Linda takes us through her journey so far.

“Back then, I didn’t know just how much this job would shape me, not just professionally, but personally. “
How did you come to work in home care?
I started out in care 14 years ago, working in both homecare and residential settings. Back then, I didn’t know just how much this job would shape me, not just professionally, but personally. Nine years ago, I completed my QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support, and that gave me the solid foundation I needed to grow in the field.
“Over the years, I’ve learned so much, not just about delivering care, but about people, empathy, and how powerful it is to simply show up for someone.”
What are some things you’ve learnt?
Over the years, I’ve learned so much, not just about delivering care, but about people, empathy, and how powerful it is to simply show up for someone. Four years ago, I decided to go back to college and earned my degree to keep building on that knowledge, and today I’m proud to be working as a Care Manager with Dovida, a company that genuinely values quality care.
While working with Dovida, I also completed my QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer course. That’s given me the skills and confidence to design and deliver training programs that really make a difference for our team.
“In my current role, I support our Caregivers, help maintain high standards, and work to create a safe, kind, and respectful environment for our clients.”
What do you do now?
In my current role, I support our Caregivers, help maintain high standards, and work to create a safe, kind, and respectful environment for our clients. It’s incredibly rewarding to be able to grow in a sector I truly care about. I hope my journey shows others that if you’re passionate and willing to keep learning, there’s always room to move forward.
