At Dovida we know that most people in need of care and support would prefer to live in their own homes, close to their local communities, instead of going to a nursing home or assisted living facility. 

Some people may feel that they have no choice but to enter such a facility for a variety of reasons. However, there is another option – Live-in Care.

What is Live-in Care?

With Live-in Care, a caregiver lives with their client, providing invaluable reassurance, continuity of care and highly flexible support, empowering the individual to stay independent in their own home.

Many older adults need some level of care and assistance with various activities in their daily lives. Our Live-in Care Plans help them to remain at home safely and securely, bringing peace of mind to both clients and their families. 

Care Plans are built upon our person-centred care model – the Circle of Care, a philosophy that places our clients at the centre of a holistic support system that connects families, our skilled caregivers and support teams with Public Health Nurses, GPs and physios.  

Your Life, Your Way

Like all Dovida’s Care Plans, Live-in Care Plans are designed to support, uplift and empower the individuals we serve. Our primary caregiver resides with the client and is on active duty for seven hours a day, six days a week. Cover is provided by the local office for the seventh day, the caregiver’s day off. They provide quality home care assistance to one or two people living in the same house as and when it is needed.

Caregiver Selection and Training

We take great care to ensure that our client’s interests are matched to those of their Dovida Caregiver. Our Live-in Caregivers are recruited both locally and through our international partners. They undergo a thorough screening process, have excellent references and participate in our comprehensive training programme before they start work with our clients. Live-in Caregivers can also access 24-hour support from their local office.
