Life at Dovida: Sophie O’Kane Murphy
Sophie O’Kane Murphy is the Scheduling Team Lead at Dovida North County Dublin, based in Swords, and covering Dublin 9, 17, and North County Dublin.
Schedulers are tasked with matching caregivers with clients and ensuring that the people Dovida supports have a caregiver allocated to them when required. Recently, Sophie talked through her journey to Scheduling Team Lead and told us what she enjoys most about working at Dovida.
When did you join us?
I started my journey back in 2022 as a caregiver covering Malahide and Swords. Then I joined the office team the following year as a Junior Scheduler.

Can you tell us a bit about the last few years?
Over the past two years I have built amazing relationships with both caregivers and the people we support. Developing these relationships has given me the confidence needed to do well in my career.
When did you become scheduling Lead?
I was promoted to scheduling lead at the start of 2025, and it has given me amazing opportunities to work closely with all departments within the office and HSE, gaining more experience.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy that every day is a challenge and one which we work as a team to overcome.
